Additional Information About Kara
Her job is quality control on the clinical side. Kara hires and trains counselors, reviews charts, and keeps documentation aligned with CARF, ASAM, and insurance requirements. She works directly with the medical team on patient care and supports the Customer Support Specialist team on HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance, the federal rule that gives substance use records protection beyond standard HIPAA.
She also keeps a small caseload of her own on purpose, so she stays close to what her counselors deal with day to day. That is unusual for a clinical director and it is deliberate.
