Additional Information About Cheryl
She earned her ASN in 2006 and her BSN in 2008, then worked across several hospital specialties before moving into home health and hospice. In 2011 she joined Raise the Bottom as a part time RN while finishing her MSN, and became a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2012. She later added a post master’s certification in substance use disorders and became a Certified Addiction Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice.
Since 2017 Cheryl has served full time as Nurse Practitioner and Medical Manager across all Raise the Bottom locations. Her caseload centers on patients with opioid use disorder and co-occurring conditions, and she also guides staff development, compliance, and the organization’s community partnerships. The earlier coaching work still shows up in how she practices: she is as focused on how a conversation feels as on what gets prescribed.
She describes the work as both a calling and a privilege.
